About your Host:
Michelle Poston, CFP®, CEPA®, has been in the financial industry since 2005 and with Infinitas since 2009. She is passionate about working with her clients to create an awareness of what is financially possible. Through the planning process she works alongside her clients to identify and prioritize their personal goals and desires so they can build wealth with purpose. Michelle graduated from UMKC with a Bachelors in Finance and a minor in Economics.
In 2016, she became one of only 23% of women who are CFP® professionals. In March of 2026, she continued to build on that foundation by earning her Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation. A Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) is a professional designation for advisors who help business owners align personal financial goals with long-term business strategies to support successful succession planning. CEPAs serve as strategic coordinators, working with a business owner’s team of tax, legal, and financial professionals to ensure these elements are aligned, supporting clear communication and a well-coordinated exit.

Our events bring together women entrepreneurs, business owners, and allies who support them. It’s a space to connect, share experiences, and grow together.
Do I need to be a member?
Not at all. While NAWBO KC members enjoy added benefits, our events are open to anyone who wants to engage with and support the women-owned business community.
Can I bring a guest?
Yes! Guests ages 16+ are welcome.
